Integration with OpenCart address forms made simple

A step-by-step guide to integration with OpenCart address forms.

Preparation

Download

Download our OpenCart plugin from the plugins pageopen in new window.

We offer a plugin for OpenCart which contains the following products:

  • Address Auto-Complete (global address lookup for over 240 countries)
  • Postcode Lookup (UK only)
  • Phone Validation (global)
  • Email Validation

The plugin is free to download.

Installation

TIP

If you are using the plugin with Journal 3, complete steps 1-7 and then continue here.

Step 1

Unzip the freshly downloaded Fetchify-OpenCart-x.x.x.zip file.

Step 2

Go to your OpenCart admin panel, and then under Extensions, click Installer.

Step 3

Click Upload, select the Fetchify-x.x.x-OpenCart-x.x.x.ocmod.zip file and click on Open.

Step 4

From the navigation menu on the left-hand side, under Extensions, click Extensions.

Step 5

Select Modules from the dropdown list.

Step 6

Click on the green install icon next to our integration.

Step 7

From the list of modules, click on the edit button next to ‘Fetchify’.

Here you will need to insert your access token and enable the products you would like to use.

TIP

If you are using Journal 3, continue here. Please note that Journal 3 is only supported by our Address Auto-Complete plugin. It is not compatible with UK Postcode Lookup.

Step 8

From the navigation menu on the left-hand side, under Design, click Layouts.

Step 9

Add our module to the Account and the Checkout pages.

That’s it!

The module should now be installed and working.

Customisation (Optional)

In the admin panel, find the list of modules, then click on the edit button next to ‘Fetchify’. Here you will find additional configuration options that you can use to customise the look and feel of the module.

Journal 3 Integration

Step 1

After you have installed your Journal theme, click Layouts under Journal from the left hand-side navigation menu.

Step 2

Select the Account or Checkout page. At the top of the page, click the "T" to add an empty row underneath the header of the page. Now that the row has been inserted, click the plus icon in the top right of the row to add a column.

Step 3

Click on the newly inserted column to select the module you would like to add. In the pop up, scroll all the way to the bottom on the left hand-side menu and click "OpenCart". Select "Fetchify" from the list and then click the green tick in the top right hand-side corner of the page to save the changes.

TIP

If you decide to change your Journal theme, you will need to repeat these steps.

That’s it!

The module should now be installed and working with your Journal 3 theme.
